Sun Dancing and Sky Flirting

I swayed both my arms as gracefully as I could. To the left, to the right, one hand in front, the other one at the back. I repeated the gesture together with a graceful sway of hips and little hops. I did a 360-degree turn and I faced up the skies. I did the sun dance in the middle of the street. I flirted with the skies like a bee does to a sunflower. Please hold tightly the rainwater with you, I gracefully asked the favor.

Thankfully, it did not rain.. and the shoot that Jeff and I have been giddy gracefully happened.

Here are some photos from our most recent post-nup shoot..

Hope everything is going graceful on your end! If not, you still have the whole day to twist things and make them your way. Happy day!

Scarfs + Memory Full

Where are you? I texted Jeff as soon as I stepped in the mall. My stomach roared like a lion and I wanted to eat an elephant. I hunger for dinner then. I called him but duh. No answer. I was impatient so I called him again and again and again. Still no answer. I headed to the bookstore until I heard my phone rang FINALLY. I left my fancy idea of getting myself another book and headed straight to where we agreed to meet. It was right there I discovered, he got busy looking for a scarf to wear on the Bohemian wedding we will be shooting the following day. I insisted we look for another way for him to look like a Boho but no way, he was getting that scarf he saw at the department store.

Yes, the main photographer does all these things for love.ย This is him trying to look cool despite the heavy sweat all over his face.

Friends. Jeans. Shirts. Shoes. Music. I think we always have that friend whom we have a lot of common with. Below is Stephen, Jeff’s bestfriend. I am almost on the edge of believing that Stephen and his wife Ash are actually mine and Jeff’s siblings from another parents.

and so when both your memory card’s full because you missed taking photos that much.. you sit in the corner of the hall, watch how every attendee is wishing happiness to the couple, guard your colleagues’ bags on the floor and say a little prayer.. Thank You God for making sweet things happen.ย

Have a great day!

Jeremiah & Hazel {Lโ™ฅVERS Day Out}

So I received a {text} message from a close friend one fine day in [MAY] & without hesitation, I kinda knew what it was about ๐Ÿ™‚ For some strange reason, I have this little gift of {i n t u i t i o n} ๐Ÿ˜›

Her name is Hazel, a friend of mine since 1996 – High School Days… What??? (: Before she can even say anything, I immediately smiled & said “Are we shooting your Engagement Photos already?”. Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ Sorry Haze, I have to practice not saying a lot of things!

And so it is, she told me she & her fiance, Jeremiah are getting married in August this year. Yay!!! And we are shooting their Lโ™ฅVERs Day Out Photographs.

Hazel & I, though really good friends, seldom saw each other a few years after graduating from college. I kinda forgot how we decided to have dinner at some Mexican Resto just beside their office but I definitely recalled, we had dinner because she wanted to talk to me about Jeremiah. Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ Right Haze? Oooppps, I spilled the beans right there! That was like a long-long time ago but the memories are clear.

“He is really different and really takes care of me.”, she told me that night.

They knew each other from work, she said. Jeremiah, constantly calls Hazel on the phone for some kind of coordination they have to do for Customer Support at one Big Telecom Company here in the City and that’s how it all began ๐Ÿ˜€

I wish I could tell you how the “PROPOSAL” happened, probably one of these days but I heard it involved a Hersey’s Kisses, a Train Song & a can of Pepsi during Valentines Day… Hehehehe ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish I could write better romantically โ™ฅ If anything, I hope you find time to view their Lโ™ฅVERs Day Out Photographs.

We started our Day with a good cup of Coffee ๐Ÿ˜€ Yum, yum, yum…

From one Coffee Shop to another.

Inspired by Taken by Light Photography ๐Ÿ™‚

Pancakes for lunch anyone? @Pancake House

I’m really lucky to have an AMAZING Second Shooter ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank You L<3VEEE

We tried looking for an old Wooden Bridge in Busay but found out it was difficult to shoot there anymore. Anyway, the mountains ahead didn’t disappoint… Right?

Jeremiah, the Lover of books… Este, Hazel ๐Ÿ˜€ Jeremiah does love literature. Matter of fact, he wrote Hazel a couple of poems ๐Ÿ™‚ย

They day went AMAZING… Hurray for our first LOVERs Day Out!!!

Happy Tuesday Friends.

Serious Business

Wow! We have managed to keep this new dotCOM going. A reason to celebrate perhaps? Oh yeah! Another reason for a good ol’ {celebration} is that I finished working on the “Prep” pics of the Lโ™ฅVE Day shoot we did last June 9.

This one {The Preps} actually took me a couple of days to finish and I didn’t exactly meet my personal deadline of within a {week} editing ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Some of my colleagues at the office are also actually waiting for the photographs.

The photograph above is a snippet ๐Ÿ™‚ As is the one below…

Believe you me, shooting a “Lโ™ฅVE Day”ย is some “Serious Business”. YES!, I did enjoy it very much but I always had to catch my breath & excitement & tell myself, “Wow!, This is serious stuff.” And yet, I also told myself, “I want to do this many, many, many and give that another many times more…..”.

Do watch out for OUR full post of AJ & Liz’s Wedding here and at our Facebook Page.

How did everybody’s Monday go? OURs was a bit Productive, with Sandy doing her thing over @ Baguioย & me here at our hometown in Cebu.

Good Night & Happy Blogging!

A Frame within a Frame

The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer.

FRI{day} RANDOM+ness

How is everybody doing? It’s {FRI}day Night over at the eastern side of the world. How’d the week treat everybody?

As for me, I just got home from a whole day of {PHOTO}+Journalism session with 2 of the [GREATS] here in Cebu. And by Greats I mean, Alex Badayos & TATAY of CDN ๐Ÿ™‚

It was a Free Training offered by my company. So me & a few colleagues didn’t hesitate to hop in and join the Bandwagon.

We were taught everything from the basics of the camera to the basics of composition. Horizontal Lines, Vertical Lines, Patters, Frame within a Frame, etc… I definitely learned a lot ๐Ÿ™‚ And am crossing my fingers I remember those things for our coming shoots:D

Sadly, Sandy was in a Forum so she wasn’t able to join. But I am giving her & hear Audit Team a Free Photography Session. A little Echo Back I should say one of these Saturdays. Those who are in Cebu, Raise Your Hands, if you want to join ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, the picture above is a Sample of Frame within a Frame. It is one of our assignments and I will be submitting it during our session tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

This was taken just right outside of our office where the light was {MAGICAL}.

Have a Great Weekend everyone!
