And That’s A Wrap { 2011 }

As 2012 is slowly eating up the last hours of “This Year”, we’d like to make a quick home run for everything that has been “2011“.

35,932!!! That’s more or less the number of photographs we took this year. Quite lesser than what most photographers take but that’s a lot for us. If we kind of like {statisticalize} it , that’s 2,994 Photographs/Month, 99 Photogaphs/Day, and about “4” Photographs every hour!!! Ain’t that wonderful??? Really… We’ll try to raise it up to 10 Photographs/Day next year 🙂

Sandy & I are slowly pushing our little Green & Purple towards the future and we would like to send out a resonating “THANK YOU!!!”. 2011 has been a really wonderful & blessed year, full of anxious first times, heartfelt wins, valuable lessons from frustrating losses, & most importantly new L♥VEly friends whom we met along the way. As you can see how…

We were all confident getting booked for the “First Time”.

And then felt anxious anticipating our “First Post L♥VE Day Shoot”.

Nothing beats having friends who will model for you 🙂 and singing “out one day, walking one day…”

Especially those who are about to “Tie The Knot”. Ohhhh, how we L♥VE Weddings 🙂

And Friends bringing their cute “Little Ones”

Did we mention how challenging it was to shoot “L♥VE Spell” Engagement Sessions… Aha!

And how {AMAZING} it is to shoot L♥VE Day Photographs but at the same time mentally, physically & emotionally challenging as well.

Nothing beats the nervousness I felt receiving our “First Official Client Inquiry”. Hahahaha 😀 No kidding! I was really anxious & at the same time, ALL EXCITEDDDDDDD!!! See how many D’s I put there…

Like said, it’s good to have friends & neighbors with cute “Little Ones”

It’s just,,,, uhhhhmmmmm, that you have to chase them around 😛 Hahahahaha…

Ohhh, I have to mention Sandy did an amazing job here… Don’t you think?

And that I also wouldn’t mind shooting “3 or more L♥VE Days” in a month like back in August 😛

Did  I tell you, we also kind off visited “PLACES” this year??? We did!

If it’s great to have friends who can model, it’s even more amazing to have  a “Pretty SISTER” & a “SUPER BEAUTIFUL GIRLFRIEND” who can model for you {BIG Grin right here}

And last but not the least, “AMAZING Office Mates” who’ll volunteer to END the last week of your YEAR{2011} with a BANG! I can live shooting 3 times a week 😀 Bring it on 2012!!!

This year, we also helped a “Planner” find a partner. Hopefully next year, we can help more “Planners” find a partner. And maybe even more than that, JUST WAIT, THERE’s MORE.

November Ends

And just like that…., it’s time for Christmas once again 😀 Starbucks fans, do you know what that mean? It’s time for that yearly “Starbucks Planner Promotion”. So guess what? I drank my way, with some help from Sandy, Orville & a few of our friends, to 17 Starbucks beverages to get their lovely planner. And yeah, I wanted to show that coffee & photography, they blend really well. Hahaha 😀

It’s just a few more days before Christmas and things could not get any busier.. Is there such a word?

This second to the last week of November began with a little meeting with a cousin who’s engagement & wedding Sandy & I will shoot in January & March next year 🙂 So we talked about the story for their Engagement/LOVE Spell Shoot, because you know I just discovered to make a little story before the shoot, and went out to check the location which was awesome. I can’t wait for January to come 🙂

Last Tuesday, I flew to Makati City for training. I do love being in the airport but, I’m really afraid to fly. Don’t know why. Shhhhhhh… Especially when it’s cloudy, like below, because there’s turbulence.

Apart from the trainings, my team held our last meeting for the year there as well as our Christmas Party. I would go as far as to say that “That was one of the best parties I have attended so far.” Even though “I dropped my Canon 7D”, which made me really, really sad. On the bright side, the dust specs on the viewfinder disappeared, I learned how to fix a stuck Pop-up-Flash & only the battery door cover broke, which Canon said I can order. To add to all my misadventures, I also lost my Wayfarer. I swear I would have cried if Sandy were there 😦 But as always, she is just amazing and when she told me it was going to be alright, I know it was going to be alright.

The next day we went to “The Enchanted Kingdom“. It was one of those last Team Outings 😀 and it was a blast. Again though, some of the rides I didn’t try just yet, because I want to try it out with Sandy 🙂

When I went home last Sunday, I was really happy to see Sandy waiting at the airport for me. We haven’t seen each other since early November. We went straight home and bumped into our favorite neighbor, Marco. I’m sure you’ve met him a couple of times on our posts.

He’s really an adorable little kid and is someone who always reminds me to live life simply just like “The Little Prince“.

While I was sad, anxious & nervous of all the not so good things that happened to me while in Makati, I do also understand that these uncomfortable feelings of uncertainty & sadness is a good thing. They most certainly pave the way for good things to come, especially for those who do not quit and give their best at everything. A lesson I need to keep telling myself time & time again 😀

Jeremiah & Hazel {L♥VERS Day Out}

So I received a {text} message from a close friend one fine day in [MAY] & without hesitation, I kinda knew what it was about 🙂 For some strange reason, I have this little gift of {i n t u i t i o n} 😛

Her name is Hazel, a friend of mine since 1996 – High School Days… What??? (: Before she can even say anything, I immediately smiled & said “Are we shooting your Engagement Photos already?”. Hahaha 😀 Sorry Haze, I have to practice not saying a lot of things!

And so it is, she told me she & her fiance, Jeremiah are getting married in August this year. Yay!!! And we are shooting their L♥VERs Day Out Photographs.

Hazel & I, though really good friends, seldom saw each other a few years after graduating from college. I kinda forgot how we decided to have dinner at some Mexican Resto just beside their office but I definitely recalled, we had dinner because she wanted to talk to me about Jeremiah. Hahaha 😀 Right Haze? Oooppps, I spilled the beans right there! That was like a long-long time ago but the memories are clear.

“He is really different and really takes care of me.”, she told me that night.


They knew each other from work, she said. Jeremiah, constantly calls Hazel on the phone for some kind of coordination they have to do for Customer Support at one Big Telecom Company here in the City and that’s how it all began 😀

I wish I could tell you how the “PROPOSAL” happened, probably one of these days but I heard it involved a Hersey’s Kisses, a Train Song & a can of Pepsi during Valentines Day… Hehehehe 🙂

I wish I could write better romantically ♥ If anything, I hope you find time to view their L♥VERs Day Out Photographs.

We tried looking for an old Wooden Bridge in Busay but found out it was difficult to shoot there anymore. Anyway, the mountains ahead didn’t disappoint… Right?

Jeremiah, the Lover of books… Este, Hazel 😀 Jeremiah does love literature. Matter of fact, he wrote Hazel a couple of poems 🙂

Serious Business

Wow! We have managed to keep this new dotCOM going. A reason to celebrate perhaps? Oh yeah! Another reason for a good ol’ {celebration} is that I finished working on the “Prep” pics of the L♥VE Day shoot we did last June 9.

This one {The Preps} actually took me a couple of days to finish and I didn’t exactly meet my personal deadline of within a {week} editing 😦 Some of my colleagues at the office are also actually waiting for the photographs.

The photograph above is a snippet 🙂 As is the one below…

Believe you me, shooting a “L♥VE Day” is some “Serious Business”. YES!, I did enjoy it very much but I always had to catch my breath & excitement & tell myself, “Wow!, This is serious stuff.” And yet, I also told myself, “I want to do this many, many, many and give that another many times more…..”.

FRI{day} RANDOM+ness

How is everybody doing? It’s {FRI}day Night over at the eastern side of the world. How’d the week treat everybody?

As for me, I just got home from a whole day of {PHOTO}+Journalism session with 2 of the [GREATS] here in Cebu. And by Greats I mean, Alex Badayos & TATAY of CDN 🙂

It was a Free Training offered by my company. So me & a few colleagues didn’t hesitate to hop in and join the Bandwagon.

We were taught everything from the basics of the camera to the basics of composition. Horizontal Lines, Vertical Lines, Patters, Frame within a Frame, etc… I definitely learned a lot 🙂 And am crossing my fingers I remember those things for our coming shoots:D

Sadly, Sandy was in a Forum so she wasn’t able to join. But I am giving her & hear Audit Team a Free Photography Session. A little Echo Back I should say one of these Saturdays. Those who are in Cebu, Raise Your Hands, if you want to join 🙂

Anyway, the picture above is a Sample of Frame within a Frame. It is one of our assignments and I will be submitting it during our session tomorrow 🙂
